Since 2019, the Art of Fitness Charity Showcase has raised over $10,000 to support children with significant medical challenges and other vital causes.
Art of Fitness 2019: Story Book
In its inaugural year, the Art of Fitness hosted over 20 performers from various fitness backgrounds and welcomed 175 attendees at the Eagle Event Center in Fall River. The event raised over $3,000 for Spina Bifida awareness, benefiting Layla Rose Smith, a 10-year-old girl living with Spina Bifida. The funds helped her acquire necessary medical devices and support other families.
Art of Fitness 2020: Carnival of Dreams
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 showcase adapted by going virtual and twenty performers performed from their homes. The event met its $3,000 fundraising goal, with funds going directly to families caring for children with severe medical difficulties. The year highlighted the community’s determination and creativity, demonstrating that the spirit of giving and support can thrive even in unprecedented circumstances.
Art of Fitness 2021: Murder Mystery
The 3rd Annual showcase took place at the historic Fall River Carousel by the Battleship. The Great Gatsby-themed Murder Mystery night was a thrilling experience, featuring intricate performances and interactive storytelling. The event raised nearly $2,000 for children with special education needs.
Art of Fitness 2022: Gallery Exhibition
The 4th Annual Art of Fitness Gallery Exhibition at Cutler Mill was a night to remember. With a unique storyline involving the auction of a prized art collection by renowned curator Veronica Lynn, guests enjoyed a fashion show, performances, complimentary appetizers, and a cash bar. The interactive event raised funds while offering a night filled with creativity and surprise.
Art of Fitness 2023: Aurora’s Eclipse
The 5th Annual Art of Fitness took place in the historic Gallery X in New Bedford, MA. The showcase raised funds for LGBTQ+ youth mental health awareness, supporting organizations like PFLAG, RI Pride, and the Trevor Project.
The event featured over 30 performances from local artists, musicians, athletes, dance teams, and aerial fitness performers across various genres. Guests enjoyed music by DJ Jackie Treehorn, media by Phases Creative Studios, savory appetizers, sweet treats, specialty drinks by Primo Bartending, and an interactive game of Musical Masquerade Bingo.
